What is yellow? "Yellow" is not actually yellow, and doesn't have to be. My definition of yellow and yours are probably different.

Kara Walker (born November 26, 1969) is a contemporary African American artist who explores race, gender, sexuality, violence and identity in her work. She is best known for her room-size tableaux of black cut-paper silhouettes.

First, I thought that her art was in fantasy world just like puppet play I used to watch in childhood. However, I was shocked by her cruel silhouette images. Her life-sized collage gives us imagination, and makes us to think what’s going on because there are only silhouette. I saw her video, too. It was interesting.

I remember that my art teacher at college strongly recommended to see her art for the craftsmanship and also for the theme. Kara Walker is now one of my favorite artist.
